Yes, I may have been a little star-struck. But not ten minutes prior to seeing Johnny Ibrahim (the actor) I asked Joe whether he thought we'd bump into Johnny Ibrahim (the drug dealer) while we searched for food on the Cross.

So. Tim and I are in Sydney with the Concrete Playground / Sydney arts festival / party / backgammon / photo mission thing. More specifically, we have been on Kings Cross. Tim thinks we just saw the man who played John Ibrahim from Underbelly and quite frankly I believe him, the likeness was unbelievable. But on the Cross? Surely no. Tim's star-struckedness (bizarre for such a celeb, but prevalent nonetheless) now has the better of him and he's dreaming of Sexy Johnny with his shoes on while he snores like nothing you've heard before. To be honest, I can't blame him. Ah well. Down to the lobby for a Lucky Strike.

By the way Tim. I did the gin shot I owed you for not knowing the way home.

Well the hiatus has finished and the return to the city has been abrupt. The gin diaries are complete and the new way of life has three commandments. The first of which being : "I love caravan"

The year is pretty much back into the swing of things, although I still have no real idea where Joe is. Last reports suggest he's either living on a Marae in the Ururewas or towing a caravan around the Coromandel.

Smart money's on the Ururewas.

2012 is going to be a good year in that we're going to have our first exhibition. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

I probably should have posted this a few months ago, but here's the meeting room at The International Herald Tribune where I was interning.

The people were nice and there were always foreign treats like Baklava or some such thing.

Borneo is sick, last night I had two dinners.

Sorry for the lack of posts. Joe's on the road somewhere in the South Island and I was living on a couch with a Sri Lankan.

It's even sexier than it sounds.

I heard through the grapevine that the sunsets at Rhythm and Alps were particularly beautiful.

No pressure Joe but the folks at home and I would sure like to see one of those infamous 'self-reflective and awe inspiring photographs of the sky' that you do so well.

I'm going to Borneo in four hours.

I have three rolls of film and a hankering for Lakhsa.
