The Shutter Pirates are Joe and Tim.

Their website was conceived in the depths of a facebook photo comment. Joe was stalking Tim's photos and in between drunken party shots and self-absorbed profile pics he saw something he liked.

Joe then asked Tim if he would like to join his fictional photography crew: The Shutter Pirate(s).

Tim missed the sarcasm and thought Joe was serious. Not only did Tim join but he also took The Shutter PIrates to the street (read: internet).

Before Joe knew it he was the other half of a living, breathing photography blog.
