Hello, we are Joe and Tim and we run this here blog: The Shutter Pirates.

This all came about in the darkest depths of a facebook photo comment. Joe was stalking Tim's photos and in between drunken party shots and self-absorbed profile pics he saw something he liked.

Joe asked Tim if he would like to join his fictional photography crew: The Shutter Pirate(s).

Tim missed the sarcasm and thought Joe was serious. Not only did Tim join but he also took The Shutter PIrates to the street (read: internet).

We've been posting our work for almost two years now and in that time we've won some awards, built a darkroom, drunk a lot of red wine and contemplated the state of the world.
